A Celebration of Northamptonshire 2009

Friday 9th October 2009 saw the 3rd consecutive A Celebration of Northamptonshire evening.

Earl Spencer kindly invited Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd. (NEL) back to his home to host the dinner for 400 people in a purpose built marquee. Althorp's beautiful gardens were on show as guests were directed through different areas of the grounds to be greeted by friendly CJS staff at the drinks reception. The State Dining Room and Saloon impressed guests from all over the County before guests were asked to take their seats in the huge marquee on the west lawn.

Wyatt James served a delicious meal while guests were treated to an array of entertainment. Heart FM's Toby Anstis was on hand to help the evening proceed. A quick game of Higher or Lower kicked off the fundraising for the evening. Combined with the silent and live charity auctions, and proceeds from the photographs purchased on the night, over £13,000 was raised for the Northamptonshire Community Foundation which maintains NEL's Let Yourself Grow fund. Once match funded by the treasury, the fund received over £27,000! A fantastic achievement - thank you to everybody who supported the event, including our headline sponsor Jennie Shepherd Associates.
